“Riding my bike, but it's not all about racing, I love to get out for an epic ride in the Peaks and when in Swansea it;s always fun to rip up the trails at Afan. Spain ain't too shabby either with it's great weather and singletrack. I also loved my 10 days in Whistler with www.ticket2ridebc.com a couple of summers ago. I enjoy motorsport in particular going to watch rally GB. I love food, cooking as well as eating and enjoy a good pint in a decent pub! I should also confess that I can be quite lazy and happy to idly waste time watching TV or on the net checking out riders blogs''

Riding Career >>

“Started riding when I was four and my proudest moments was winning a local U12 championship when I was aged 8 and getting £50 from Simply the Bike for doing so! First win was in the Sportage series in Liverpool. Then I got ill with a virus that stopped me doing any sport, and meant a lengthy stay off school. Finally got back into recreational cycling, football and rugby, but didn’t start racing seriously until 2006. My heroes in the sport are Oli Beckingsale, Christoph Sauser and Steve Peat – all of whom get the best from themselves – whatever the conditions”

Fitness Career >>

Started riding when I left school, but just for fun, only started racing in 24hr and other endurance events in 2004, taking XC racing seriously in 2007, competing in the NPS Series. My career highlight so far was in 1999 when we (three man team) won a 50 mile orienteering (running/walking) event held locally called the "Tour de Trigs", which is held in December, so involves muddy fields and is predominantly dark. I have also ran a marathon and am currently improving my swimming to try triathlon in the near future.
